A cylindrical cartridge is a different shape decision than the Aircompact's vertical layout, and it comes from a different lineage: the platform was originally built for chemical and pharmaceutical filtration, where consistent capture of very fine, dry particulate is the entire job.

Cutting MDF and particleboard on a beam saw or sizing center produces the finest, most respirable dust of any wood process, bonded resin particulate that behaves differently from solid wood dust.
