Dust Collection System Design and Installation
Buying a collector is easy. Getting clean air at the machine is an engineering job, and it runs in four stages: consult, assess, design, commission. You approve the design before anything is ordered, and the assessment stage costs you nothing.
A system. Not a box.
Most failed installations we are called to look at have an adequate collector on the end of an inadequate system. The unit moves the air it claims to move. The problem is upstream: hoods too far from the cut, duct diameters that let chip settle, branches stealing air from the machine that needs it, or a fan selected against a machine list rather than a duct layout.
Design and installation is the work that turns a running collector into a clean plant. It cannot be done from a catalog, which is why our process puts an engineer on your floor before anyone writes a specification.
Four stages, in order.
Every project runs the same sequence. Small jobs move through quickly, plant wide systems take longer, but no stage is skipped.
Consult
We start with your machine list, your shift pattern and a plain description of what is going wrong. Part of this stage is finding out whether the job needs an engineer on site at all.
You provide the schedule and a rough layout. We come back with a direction: which filtration technology suits your dust, indoor or outdoor siting, and an honest view of scope.
Assess
For anything beyond a single portable unit, an engineer walks the plant. We look at where dust escapes capture, measure the extraction points you have and confirm what the building will allow.
This is the free factory visit, and it is what stops a system being sized off a spreadsheet. You get a record of the findings whether or not you buy anything.
Design
With real measurements we specify the collector, duct layout, hood changes where capture is failing, fan duty and controls. Where a decision has a cost consequence we show the alternative rather than quietly picking one.
The output is a complete system design and a quotation. You approve both before anything is ordered, so nothing is built against a guess.
Commission
We support installation, then balance the system so air is distributed the way the design intended rather than the way the ductwork happens to favor. Performance is verified, not assumed.
Before we finish, your team is walked through operation, filter maintenance and discharge handling. US-based technical support stays available after handover.

Capture at the tool
Dust never captured cannot be filtered. Hood position, shape and velocity at the cutting point decide how much enters the system at all, and no amount of collector capacity fixes a hood in the wrong place.
Balance across branches
On a shared main, air takes the easy route. Without correctly sized branches and working blast gates the nearest machine gets more than it needs and the furthest one starves.
Headroom for the next machine
Plants add machines. A system designed at exactly today's demand gets replaced when the next one arrives, so we ask what you expect to buy and size the main to take it.
